We have all worked hard to put everything in place so that you will feel safe and we are proud to display the "Staying Covid 19 Secure" poster, so yes, there have been a few changes but our principles of looking after you in Our George Way, and supporting our local suppliers through food and drink are all still here!.

So why not treat yourself to a tradtional 1066 Sussex welcome and discover The George Inn. Standing with pride in the village of Robertsbridge, this former 18th Century Coaching Inn is a dog friendly pub which serves all home cooked food and drinks using the best local suppliers we have in this area.

Located near Hastings, Tunbridge Wells and Battle and with four Bed &Breakfast rooms, as part of the Sawdays Special Places to Stay, The George is an ideal base from which to explore Kent and Sussex, especially as we are surrounded by various National Trust properties and beautiful gardens and scenary.

We have our own car park in front of The George and additional free parking is available in the High Street. The train station is a short 10 minute walk away, providing direct access to London Charing Cross as well as Royal Tunbridge Wells, historic Battle and the coastal towns of Rye and Hastings.  We also welcome cyclists and we have a bike rack at the front of the building as well as secure storage for bikes if you are staying overnight.

We look forward to welcome you all to The George and our family business based in the heart of 1066 County.
