Good food, strong drinks and real personality.

We're a proper village pub that takes its food seriously - but not ourselves. Everything is cooked from scratch in our little George kitchen and we take pride in what we serve. It's why we were recently picked out in The Telegraph's list of the best pubs in Sussex. Expect generous roasts, big flavours, seasonal menu's and the kind of comfort food that makes you glad you left the sofa. 

We don't have a thousand page menu that never moves. The team tweak things with the seasons and what's good from our suppliers, so you'll see dishes that come and go, with a few George favourites hanging around by popular demand. Have a look at our sample menus for a falvour of what we do - just remember, they change regularly so there's always an excuse to come back! Please note, there is no dinner service on Monday and Tuesday nights.
